Submissions for Newsletter and Social Media
To Submit Member News for our Newsletter:
We have simplified this in order to make it easier for you to send us your news, and in the hopes that you can send it out to multiple newsletters at once, rather than having to fill out endless forms and send endless emails. We still may bulk up the mail by looking through formal press releases, but as those are time consuming for us, the only guaranteed way to make sure your news will make it into the newsletter is to send it this way:
- Send it to me in an email at una@localfirstindiana.org or unawinterman@gmail.com
- Subject Line: Submission for Newsletter
- We will only print 1-2 short sentences with a link to the rest of the story on your site or Facebook page, so make sure you write the first two sentences with this in mind.
- Include a link to the actual event (not just your web-page, unless your event will be on the front page of your webpage for some time. People will be much more likely to follow through to find your event if you make it easy for them!) Facebook event links are fine too.
- Don’t forget address, date, time, price (if applicable)
- Attach a photo to the email!
- Due date: Third Tues. of the month, we usually get the newsletter out sometime that third week of the month.
