Thanks to all who participated in Going Local Week 2011!

Going Local Week hosted 34 events in 25 different local and regional businesses.  Local First Indiana worked with the Local Growers Guild to gather all of our members together and work on a week of celebration for all things local.  Events included art openings, theater showings, author readings, concerts, business specials, local food specials in restaurants, a Chef’s Challenge, a farm tour, a bar tour, tours of downtown Bloomington, and various fundraisers for other local nonprofits.  Local First Indiana provided a beautifully designed calendar and organized a number of successful tours called Where the Locals Go, that allowed newcomers to mingle with locals in some of Bloomington’s most celebrated haunts.
